London 2012 Tours

London’s East End is intrinsically linked to the upcoming Summer Games and the whole area will go through a period of rapid change in the run up to 2012. As this landscape transforms, The Kings Ferry Limited will provide organised and bespoke tours for small and large groups designed to take in the main sites of interest during the next 4 years.

All of our tours are based on charter coach hire from our modern fleet of 75 vehicles and are supplied with a knowledgeable Blue Badge guide who will entertain groups with their extensive knowledge of London past, present and future as the country prepares to host its first Olympics since 1948.

Children, adult or VIP groups are sure to enjoy our tours that provide interest, fun and education in equal measure. Whether you choose full, half day or bespoke options there is sure to be plenty to keep you and your group entertained.

The new Olympic Stadium, Village and International Station at Stratford will be the centre piece of the Games and as such will form the basis of all of our organised tours with additional venues subject to chosen tour.

As the sites develop our tours will adapt to provide the best possible value and we will work closely to provide the content your group requires dependent on age, interest, mobility and time factors.

Stratford tour	Includes panoramic view of the new Olympic Stadium and Village site* and history of the area
Lunch	Picnic stop at Barrier Park – learn more about the Thames Barrier whilst you enjoy lunch and use facilities
Coach tour	Educational tour encompassing Canary Wharf, Excel, Royal Docks with a scheduled stop at Island Gardens to view the Greenwich sites, Royal Observatory and Naval College

Adult Olympics sites

Pickup time	Subject to location
Times provided for reference only and are subject to confirmed itinerary.
10.00 am	View Greenwich Park – venue for the equestrian events – from Island Gardens along with the Royal Observatory and Naval college.
10.45	Stratford tour includes panoramic view of the new Olympic Stadium and Village site* and history of the area. Refreshment break if required.
12.45	Lunch stop – either Picnic stop at Barrier Park – learn more about the Thames Barrier whilst you enjoy lunch and use facilities or drop off at café restaurants for passengers to purchase their own refreshments.
13.45	Educational tour encompassing Canary Wharf, Excel, Royal Docks and 02 Arena (former Millennium Dome)
15.30	Approximate finish and return to destination.
